This project consisted of the installation and commissioning of a biomass-based thermal oil boiler (wood waste) and an ORC (Organic Rankine Cycle) turbogenerator together with all the additional services and equipment necessary for the automatic operation, in order to produce heat simultaneously (respectively, 5,400 KW hot water at 95/75°C and 1,200 KW superheated water at 150/125°C), as well as electricity. The plant produces 1.3 MW of electricity and almost 7 MW of thermal and provides three quarters of the beneficiary’s energy needs.
PIPESUPPORT CONSULT provided complete engineering services for the piping systems of the High Efficiency Biomass Cogeneration Plant. The activities included the analysis of the existing situation and the identification of the necessary space for the location of the new equipment, as well as its connection to the existing installations. Based on these analyses, the optimal geometry of the piping systems was established, followed by the performance of voltage analyses to optimize the configuration of the piping and support systems, using the specialized CAESAR II software. Also, PIPESUPPORT CONSULT carried out the three-dimensional modeling of the pipe systems with the help of the Cadworx Plant application, as well as the execution and assembly documentation for all the pipe systems, developed in AutoCAD 2D/3D, Advance Steel and Graitec Advance Design. The activities were completed by developing the technical specifications for the purchase of pipe elements and assembly instructions, contributing to the efficient and safe integration of the installations into the plant as a whole.
