In 2016, the PIPESUPPORT CONSULT team performed a flexibility calculation and a detailed stress analysis for the transfer pipes that connect the furnaces 130H1, 130H2, 130H3 and the reactors 130R1, 130R2, 130R3 within the Catalytic Reforming (RC) facility at the Petromidia Năvodari Refinery. Using the specialized CAESAR II software, the project included the assessment of the stress states, with the aim of validating the structural integrity and functional behavior of the piping system under operating conditions and the selection of new elastic supports. The analysis allowed the identification of critical stress areas and the optimization of elastic supports to effectively manage thermal expansions and mechanical loads, thus contributing to increasing the level of safety, durability and operational performance of the installation.
